Jalapeños

I often tell my family, that all living foods (ie fruits, vegetables, meat…) are individual things and therefore all taste slightly different from each other. Unlike a bowl of Lucky Charms that tastes exactly the same as every other bowl, every peach is different from every other peach. This difference is more pronounced in some fruits and vegetables than in others, and that is why I am careful when selecting Jalapeños. The pure green ones (on the left hand side of the picture above) are moderately hot and the peppers with what I’ll call gold stripes or speckles (on the right side of the picture) are much hotter. This difference may not matter to you, but if you’re anything like me (a hot food weakling), than stick with the solid green Jalapeños.
